"My tools consist of found objects as well as those fashioned after
my own hand. Whether branches from an oak tree, a rusty bottle cap or turquoise tipped rooster feathers a coherent juxtaposition will reveal itself to me. The more absurd the better. A story is born and a narrative begins to unravel. The result is inevitably a menagerie of ethereal winged creatures, human and animal hybrids and fanciful flying machines. Here lies the age-old struggle between nature and the man-made world. My challenge is to convey that sense of conflict. Where does one begin and the other end?

Embedded in my two and three-dimensional work lies a persistent theme of carnival. Characters rise to the occasion and crave the attention of the beckoning audience. Let the show begin."
